David qualified in 1981 and has specialised in the real estate and sports sectors. He has worked in the world of Football, Rugby, Golf and Cricket working for Unions as well as individuals and sports clubs. He assisted with the formation of the Rugby Players Union in the 1990's when the game turned professional. He also represented the British Lions Players in 2001 and the England team during the late 90's.

He was also a director and owner of Bristol Rugby from 2003 to 2009 representing the club during that period on Premier Rugby.

He was a partner with Osborne Clarke until May 2021 and is now a consultant. Prior to that he worked as a partner with Clarke Willmott and Alsters.
